Prairie-Hills Elementary School District 144 Gifted Students are coordinating a ‘Juvenile Diabetes Walkathon’ as a way to get involved and continue their philanthropic endeavors. The ‘Juvenile Diabetes Walkathon’ is an educational school fundraising program that raises money to find a cure for type 1 diabetes. While raising money for JDRF, students learn about diabetes and the importance of making healthy choices. The money raised through this program helps fund type 1 diabetes research! Please support our students by participating in the ‘Walk-athon’ or sponsoring a student. The ‘Walk’ is Friday, May 11th, 2012, at the new Jr. High School, 9:00 am. Please report to registration desk.
